REMINDER: Call For Abstracts Deadline September 10 2010

The 2nd International Conference in Microgeneration and Related Technologies will be held at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow 4-6 April 2011. The conference is organised jointly by the SUPERGEN Highly Distributed Energy Futures Research Consortium (HiDEF) and IEA ECBCS Research Annex 54 on the Integration of Micro-Generation and Related Energy Technologies in Buildings.

The conference theme is enabling a highly distributed energy future, focusing on the potential and role in future energy systems of thermal and electrical microgeneration technologies such as PV, solar thermal, heat pumps, micro CHP (including fuel cells), biomass boilers and micro wind. The conference is multi-disciplinary and is an invaluable opportunity for the many disparate stakeholders working in the field to meet and exchange knowledge at a time of rapid technological developments and changes to energy supplies and systems worldwide.
Abstracts are welcome in the following areas:

 1.  developments in microgeneration and enabling technologies
 2.  integrating demand side management and microgeneration
 3.  practical experiences with microgeneration
 4.  impact of microgeneration at the large scale


 1.  modelling and technical analysis of microgeneration systems
 2.  the sustainability of microgeneration
 3.  societal impacts of microgeneration
 4.  policy and planning for microgeneration
 5.  microgeneration markets and economics

Abstracts can be submitted via the conference website http://www.supergen-hidef.org/microgenII/  and should be no more than 500 words in length. The deadline for abstract submissions is September 10 2010. Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed and successful authors will be invited to submit their full paper.
