The quick answer is that ET is “Effective Temperature”, and is based on a calculation that factors in the air’s dry bulb temperature, air speed, relative humidity and MRT (mean radiant temperature of the surroundings.)  The Fanger PMV is calculated according to ISO Standard 7730, and is somewhat complicated.  I’m not familiar with the term “TO”, unless it just means the air temperature or Operative Temperature??

Hello ,every ne. I am making the thermal comfort assessment. ESP-r says that PMV is Fanger predicted mean vote. PMV* is predicted mean vote based on ET rather then TO. 
 
Could you tell me what is ET and TO?
