Hi Ida,
the basesimp method includes some insulated slabs and I seem to remember that some of them include perimeter insulation but that needs to be checked as I am not 100 % sure. Otherwise you could add an extra zone on your basement that includes perimeter insulation. I am not entirely sure I understood what you would like to do exactly, feel free to send me a sketch. I hope that helps,
cheers
Arianna

Subject: [esp-r] Ground insulation
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to implement ground insulation in esp-r? And how this is done?
My building is placed in a cold climate in Östersund, Sweden, and I want to put a layer of insulation on the ground around my building.
In general it will be snow on the ground during the winter that also will insulate to some extent. Do anyone know if the climate files contain that kind of information? Will this be taken into account in the simulations?
Regards
Ida Auråen
