I have been trying to install esp-r on Windows 7 but I have some problems.

I want to install the Cygwin version.

First I tried to install the precompiled version with the file '' esp-r_v11.9_cygwin_precomp.run'', but the installation stops when it is checking the OS compatibility, so I guessed that this file is not compatible with Windows 7.

Then I tried to compile the file myself, following the instructions of the file '' setting_up_cygwin_may2009''.

In this doc it says:

''Create a folder named cvsdude. The command sequence to create this is:

  cd
  mkdir Src
  cd Src
  mkdir cvsdude
  cd cvsdude

At this point you can use the tool 'svn' to place a copy of the standard version of ESP-r within a local "sand-box". The command syntax is:

  svn checkout https://esp-r.net/espr/esp-r/branches/development_branch

This will can scores of MB of files to be downloaded into a folder named development_branch. Within the folder development_branch will be sub-folders src and tester.''

I make the folder cvsdude, but when I enter the command ''svn checkout https://esp-r.net/espr/esp-r/branches/development_branch'', there is no folder development_branch created, and nothing happens whatsoever.

Any clues as how could I install esp-r on windows 7?

Thank you,
Georgios Sigalas
