[esp-r] Re: meaning of result items [monthly gain/loss]

A question about the results analysis report monthly gain/loss.  THIS IS NOT AN ENERGY BALANCE
(because it does not include all of the gains and losses).  It is a facility that provides a summary
of various useful performance metrics.

The 'other facing' is any surface with a boundary condition that is not the outside.  So partitions
and connections to the ground and connections to similar/dynamic and connections to fixed
temperatures will all be placed in the 'other' category.  I wish there was a short english phrase
that could make this clear in the titile.

According to the source code the solar absorbed in the zone is a summation of the
solar radiation absorbed at the inside face of opaque and transparent surfaces.
The solar entering is the solar which passes glazing which faces the outside (solar from
adjacent rooms is not included in this report).

If you want a real energy balance then there is a separate report for the zone air point energy
balance and there is a surface energy balance report.  Both of these reports include all of the gains
and loss paths for the air or a surface.

And there is a separate solar radiation report which provides information on solar radiation
entering from adjacent rooms, the outside and the absorbed.  If you want even more information
there is a 'trace' facility for solar radiation calculations which will provide dozens of extra
values from the intermediate calculations.

We will investigate altering the context help for the 'enquire about' menu in the results
analysis module to provide more of this kind of information.

Hi all

When I look up result from 'Enquire about' > 'monthly gain/loss' in kWh unit,

There is data under 'Transp surf - external facing/ other facing'

Does data under this other facing means heat flux which transfered through transparent surface facing other zones?

According to my understanding if I integrate all value of zones, it should be zero after offset.

But the result is not zero.

How about the data under 'Solar radiation - absor inside/entering zone'?

I found they are slightly different. What are each of them and the difference of them mean?

Any comment will be appreciated.
