a) Operating system and version
Ubunbtu 8.10

b) Compiler (C and C++ and Fortran) and version numbers
g++ v 4.3.1
gcc v 4.3.1-1ubunbtu2
gfortran v 4.3.1

c) the parameters used when invoking ./Install
./install -d /usr/esru90
