Hi,

Regarding my question about zone control model in ESP-r, here are some
explanations about my model. Whatever I am trying to represent with
ESP-r is a comparison of modeling of ventilated facade with results of
measurement campaign. In my modeling, ventilated facade is composed of
one layer of non-ventilated double pane (next to ambient temperature),
then a layer of ventilated glazing with a venetian blind inside (
Fig.1 in attached file). Ventilated facade has been divided vertically
to 9 zones. Since here my aim is to study the phenomena happening
inside ventilated facade the measured boundary conditions ( outdoor
and indoor) are given as input for modeling. You were right that 18
zones seem much larger than one would typically find in an empirical
test chamber. However, in my modeling there is a vertical temperature
gradient produced by rising air inside the ventilated facade and I
divided the ventilated facade to small zones to get closer to 2D heat
transfer on glazing for higher accuracy. I have attached control and
temporal file of my model. The temporal file gives zero temperature
and control file is able to control maximum 12 zones (after
modification of MBCDP in building.h from 8 to 100) . Even if temporal
file is able just to control air point temperature, I should not get
zero temperature for the whole simulation period. I would be pleased
if you could let me know your advice on my case to control more than
12 surface temperatures.
