A recent question on shading involved a model that worked ok with
the zones facing south but after rotation there were warnings given
for the shading analysis.
This is the first report of a global rotation of zones and obstructions
giving such a problem. Working shading is associated with obstructions
being place at least a few mm in front of the surfaces. It might be
numerically possible that the transforms associated with a global
rotation has involved some rounding errors that have resulted in
the obstructions and surfaces being considered as residing
in the same plane - hence crossing-plane of surface warnings.
One test would be to shift the position of the obstructions slightly
farther away from the building and try again to rotate the model.
Of course this could be done to a simple model first just to check
and see if rounding is an issue.
