[myplace-announce] Issues with University Systems on 18th and 19th October 2014

Dear Colleagues,

We understand that there were a number of issues reported relating to Myplace access over the weekend. (18th and 19th October 2014)

Information Services (IS) has confirmed that there was a major fault in one of the University's data centres that affected access to a large number of University services, unfortunately this affected access to Myplace.

Myplace access issues were resolved by 7.30pm on Sunday 19th October and the vast majority of other services have been operating normally as of the morning of Monday 20th October.  As is usual practice, IS have been updating the University's IS Service page to indicate service availability: http://status.strath.ac.uk/ and updating users via Twitter: https://twitter.com/ISStrathclyde
