[myplace-announce] Myplace Gradebook - releasing grades

Dear Colleagues

Following queries from staff using Myplace, we have noted that it would be helpful to clarify the Gradebook settings and release of Grades to students.
Please note the following important information clarifying how the Myplace Gradebook releases grades:


*         The Quick Settings block on the Class homepage enables you to hide the Gradebook, however please note that this does not prevent the grade from being displayed to students within the individual activities, if this grade item is visible.



*         If you wish to hide marks for individual activities (e.g. a particular assignment or quiz) you must ensure that the activity setting "grade item" is set to hidden, see: http://support.myplace.strath.ac.uk/index.php?action=artikel&cat=8&id=29 (scroll down to read about grade item settings).
