Hi, Adriana. You are welcome. Convection opaque surface ptn means the
convection heat transfer through the partition wall. it means the
temperature of living room inner surface which is in contact with other
zone(zones) increases, if we assume the convective heat transfer coefficent
the same. This means the solar gain, is getting through your living
room "more easily" in respect when the doors closed.
Instead of having the year cooling and heating, I suggest you should check
for each time step, one hour or ten minutes, depenting on your presetting,
the energy balance. Is that for every time step ventilation load is
increased or only in very hot summer ? it happens only in the afternoon
or all the day? also some other parameters are important to understand the
whole situation.
