Hi Ragnhild,
in regard to the database problem, do you always say "Yes" to the question on re-installing the databases during install? I have had problems with the plant db when not doing this, occasionally.
Did the example control file I sent not help?

In the terminal it says 'Error: -mode does not exist', while in the ESP-r window it says 'There are 112 components in plantc.db1'. I tried to open the same database on three different computers using the same version of ESP-r (version 12.0). The same error message was encountered on the two other computers.

The problem I am having with this version is that I am not able to define a sensor that is supposed to sense the temperature difference between a solar collector and a storage tank. (This part was clear in the 12.0 version)

I was then asked: "Plant component node for sensor?" and I assumed that because I have a one-node flat plate collector that the answer to this was 1. A followup question appeared: "2nd Plant component index for sensor?". What number/index are they asking for here? I tried to write the index number for the plants database for the tank but it does not seem to work. I also tried with the index of the tank in my plant network file (i.e. the number of the plant component there).
