[esp-r] User-defined climate control file

Hi,

I intend to create an esp-r climate file with accurate values of hourly
direct insolation and hourly ambient temperature, but I find only
'sections' of a typical climate file. I want to know what a climate file
looks like and how they are created/edited.

I am unable to edit the default climate databases with Notepad, Word or
Excel. I would greatly appreciate explanatory links/videos.
