For problem 1 - what kind of air gap is it? A 12mm gap might have a resistance
of about 0.17, if low-e coating then it might be 0.25 or greater. What value
did you select for the air gap? Best to use the initial gap type in the materials
GAP category and then edit the value to fit.

For problem 2 - once all of the surfaces have a construction attribute then
you can ask the interface to scan and create the zone construction file(s)
based on the surface attribution.

Make sure that your computer localle is set to a location which uses a dot
for a decimal place (USA or UK). A FRENCH localle will distroy your
model because ESP-r does not understand a comma as a decimal place.

And look at the contents of some of the exemplar models to learn more
about constructions. I can send links to several short video tutorials
about managing materials and construction databases (adding and
modifying entities).

Be sure to look in the ESP-r Cookbook (User guide on the ESRU web download
page).

Subject: [esp-r] Problems in solving a simple model

Hello!!
I am new to the ESP-r modeling tools. I am modeling simple model to
simulate a room. I having problems like/
1) Air gap resistance too small in zone1 surface 1 gap 1 please increase?
2) Some zones do not reference a construction file. The model will not
allow thermal simulation.

zone z1 constructions did not read clearly.
zone z1 tmc file did not read cleanly.

Thank you.
