It is not recommended to have zero startup days. The default number of startup days suggested by the application
is a good starting point. If you want additional stability you could increase the number of days slightly.

Dear Hannah

following suggestion: Define an own day type "Startup", use this daytype for the first few days of your simulation period and give this daytype a control with ample heating and cooling power with the (temperature) setpoint you desire. After this, your model should be "initialized" with whatever you wanted and can run from there as wished. Of course, multi-layered constructions or very heavy constructions outside a thermal insulation will not have a well-defined temperature but will depend on your weather data. Of course, you could additionally create your own weather data file to address this issue.

Achim

Betreff: [esp-r] initial building temperature

Dear all,

I want to set my initial building temperature (Zone db T) to 15 °C, like it is predefined in the simulation toggles. I am using no start-up days and 10 zone timesteps per h. Every timestep is saved.

The initial temperature of 15 °C is not taken into account with these settings, instead I get a much lower initial temperature. Does anybody know, why the initial temperature is not taken into account and how to solve this problem?

Thanks,
Hannah
