[esp-r] basics as i thinks

Dear friends
After greetings,
I am new user of ESP-r program and i am attending to do a research on
one building in my hometown using
ESP-r. The research is about energy conservation.
Now, i have some problems with program ( as a new user ) :
- How to import 3d cad file to esp-r? because i was trying with a
small room example but it didn't work.
- after that, can you plz explain to me how i can use specific kind of
plant as thermal insulation , so i can get the differences between
the energy consumption in both conditions : with and with out plants.
