Dear Georgios
all the models you cite can be used. No. 53 is the "legacy" model of ESP-r.
Nos. 54 and 55 based on S. Hoffmann Thesis are destined for removal. No. 56
is an enhance model which allows for subcooling effects (not by S. Hoffmann,
though). This model can be used in "simple" mode (similar to No. 53), also.
Data generation for sub cooling mode can prove slightly difficult, as a set
of parameters for a "best fit" function must be generated.
Best

Betreff: [esp-r] PCM model used in Esp-r
Datum: 06/04/11 15:33
Dear Esp-r users, I am trying to investigate the effect of using Phase
Change Materials in a lightweight residence construction. However I cannot
understand which model is actually used. In the special material code file
‘’spmatl.F’’ there are four components for PCMs,
SPMCMP53-56. From what I can understand, the calculations in esp-r are
based on the older component 53. Components 54-56 from Sabine Hoffmann are
not used. Am I wrong? Thank You,Georgios Sigalas
