[esp-r] installing esp-r on OSX 10.6.4

hi all

I tried to install esp-r on macbook intel core 2 duo but experienced problems 
compiling the sources.

So I download the 10.5 version of the compressed archive of esp-r on my new 
macbook intel core 2 duo and followed the readme. 

here is the error message i have:

dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libgfortran.3.dylib
  Referenced from: /opt/esru/esp-r/bin/bps
  Reason: no suitable image found.  Did find:
/usr/local/lib/libgfortran.3.dylib: mach-o, but wrong architecture
/usr/local/lib/libgfortran.3.dylib: mach-o, but wrong architecture
Trace/BPT trap

Can somebody help me overcome that installation process?
