A question about circular windows....

A window and its parent surface are composed of polygons and polygons
can be of arbitrary shape so (if you have the time) you can create polygons
of almost any arbitrary shape. A circular aperture with edges - say ~8 might
be an appropriate resolution.

There is a vertex transform that allows you to create a vertex at the centre of the window and
then create new vertices at specified distances and angels from that point. Then
make up a new surface using the new vertices and also remember to update the
parent surface to include these edges as well. Probably best to only have one
circular aperature per parent surface to control the complexity.

Practice this on a shoebox model and when you are comfortable with
the process incorporate it in your real model. And remember that if
you want multiple circular windows you can copy and transform a
surface to a new location.

Subject: [esp-r] circular windows

Hi All,
Is there any way of placing circular apertures in the facades?

Thanks,

Victor.
