Hi Mark

the outside surface of a MLC is node1, each layer has 3 nodes. Where two
layers touch, only one node is defined. So node3 is the boundary between
3mm low iron glass and EVA and node4 should give you the centre-of-EVA-
layer temperature (assuming you gave the layer setup from outside to
inside).

Be sure to choose the correct run-mode so that layer temperatures are
written to res (don’t know if 3 or 4 off the top of my head) or use xml-
output.

Regards

Achim

Subject: [esp-r] sensing temperature of PV cell in example model

Hi all

I'm trying to sense temperature of PV cell, using example model

in a category technical features > with photovoltaic-integrated facade.

PV_constr consists of 3mm low-iron glass + 3mm EVA + 3mm low-iron glass +
20mm air gap + 4mm grey coted aluminum + 80mm glass fibre quilt + 4mm grey
coted aluminum.

According to a diagram that I got, it seems that PV cell is located btw
layer 1and 2. (3mm low-iron glass and 3mm EVA)

In this case, what layer should I sense in order to find out temperature
difference of PV cell?

Your comments will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Regards

Mark Kim
