The ESP-r Cookbook (Nov 2008) includes a description of the click-on-bitmap
facility.

To create the X11 bitmap most people open up the CAD tool and get the
display of the floor plan on the screen and then use a screen grab application
to capture the screen image to a graphic file. Be sure that you know which
way is north on the image and that there is a known distance on the image
to use to help scale the lines on the drawing.

The tool ImageMagic (available on almost all computer types) will allow
you to give a command like:
  import  my_building.xbm

And the advise in the Cookbook is important - learn the click-on-bitmap
by starting with a very simple zone shape and then try more complex
zones until you understand how the facility works.
