Adhi,
if you have set the boundary conditions according to VDI 6020 correctly -
which means adiabatic for inner surfaces and a constant temperature of 22
degree at the outside of your external wall - then you can recognize, that
the ambient conditions (say weather data) do not play any role !!!
Moreover the great difference between VDI 6020 and your results with ESP -
especially at the beginning of the simulation period - is caused by a
different default value of temperatures in your test room. ESP uses a
default value of 15 degree (at the start of the simulations), whereas VDI
6020 uses a default temperature of 22 degree.
I am not sure, whether this default value (temperature start value) can be
changed in ESP ....
Hope this helps,
Gunter

Subject: [esp-r] simulating VDI 6020
Hello,
I did simulation VDI 6020 (Example 1) with ESP-r. It is not clear what
weather data is used in that test. My friend said, it is TRY for Wuerzburg
(weather region 5). I built the model and used this weather data, but the
results are different. Same trend but not close (see VDI6020.jpg). My
question is: is that the correct weather data for VDI 6020 test? if yes, why
is so much different between VDI's results and ESP-r's results? I have
checked construction and schedule of my model are according to VDI 6020
(Example 1). Thank you for your help.
regards
Adhi
