Achim,

Thanks for sharing.
We want to model the cooling/heating loads and running costs of the buildings, some of the street and roof-level areas and for the covered area as a whole.

Lighting is not an issue as we are proficient in tools like Radiance, Relux, etc.

Would welcome anyone sharing experience in similar cases and developers who are intetested in implementing this capacity into esp-r.

David

two thoughts: 1) Quite large for a double facade ;o). Maybe an obstruction pattern with reduced area such that transmission is equivalent is easier (however, the max number of obstructions may be limiting). 2) Why is tracking solar to high detail important for the analysis? If it is daylight, then coupling with Radiance would come to mind (obstructions for the "energy" calcs done by ESP-r, actual glazing for the daylight calcs done by Radiance).

Regards
Achim

Achim,
Thanks for the contributions.
