[esp-r] Re: esp-r problem instaling on 64bit ubuntu

A reminder - statements in the form of "having problem with the libs" are
difficult to respond to.  It works better if additional information is provided
e.g.  "compiler gave a error when linking libxyz..."  or an extract from
the error message itself and the command that was given which resulted
in the error.
