Thank you for the information.

If I treat the humidity as a contamination, what happens with the humidity of the incoming air? Does the humidity exchange base on the humidity of the climate file or on the fixed humidity boundary condition created in the contamination file?

Best regards
Monika

A question about humidity control of air flow...

::I would like to control the ventilation rate depending on the humidity of the internal air.
::Which control loop should I use (flow network)? I didn't find a match.
::I created the humidity source in the casual gain schedule.

::Do I need a plant?

::Does anyone have experience with humidity control?

Currently there is not a direct control of a flow component based on humidity at a node in the flow network. This could be an interesting idea to consider for a future extension of control. We would need to collect up information about the types of control that users might want so please send your ideas/descriptions to jon at esru.strath.ac.uk and we will collect these and see if there is a general approach that could be implemented.

And all is not lost - one can treat humidity as a contaminate and if you define humidity sources and sinks (much like you would do CO2 sources and sinks) then you might be able to alter the flow rate by the level of this contaminate.
