[esp-r] ground temperature profile

Dear all,

I am trying to model the effect of the ground in a wine cellar at  
Valparaiso, Chile.
Does anybody knows how to calculate the monthly ground temperatures  
(1.5m. depth)  to add a new ground temperature profile?
Are the monthly ground temperatures equivalent to the external mean  
monthly temperatures?
