Publications referred to are:
Tilmann E Kuhn, Solar Control: A general evaluation method for facades
with venetian blinds or other solar control systems, Energy and
Buildings, 38 (2006), 648-660.
Tilmann E Kuhn, Solar Control: Comparison of two new systems with the
state-of-the-art on the basis of a new general evaluation method for
facades with venetian blinds or other solar control systems, Energy and
Buildings, 38 (2006), 661-672.

Hello Bart,

for your information (and all other, who are interested in solar heat gain):

At the Fraunhofer Institute ISE in Freiburg, Germany, Mr. Tilmann Kuhn has
developed a very detailled and more accurate algorithm for the determination
of the effective solar heat gain - especially for venetian blinds. This
algorithm takes into account angle dependancies (of sun and blinds) as well
as spectral distributions (see attached publications) .....

These infos might be helpfull for you ....

Moreover - as a stupid user of ESP-r - I propose a cooperation between you
and Mr. Kuhn in enhancing current facilities of ESP-r concerning the
calculation
of solar gain for facades with venetian blinds. Such a cooperation of
specialists
for further development of ESP-r enhancements would help all users of ESP-r
....

Best Regards,
Gunter Pültz
