[esp-r] TMC-change for internal surfaces

Hello,

i'm trying to apply a changing TMC to a transparent, internal surface 
(i.e. Office Window to Atrium).
irrespective the chosen control method (radiation, temperature, time) 
the TMC-properties of the surface won't switch (=radiation from adjacent 
keeps always the same).

Is it possible that changing TMCs can only be applied to exterior 
surfaces? And if so, what would be a appropriate workaround?
