You might remember that a few months ago a facility was added to
allow a user to import air flow and casual gain schedules from an
existing zone in the model as new zones were added.
That proved to be a time saver - and users who often work on
a particular building type might have generated a number of
useful and well tested air flow and casual gain schedules
(e.g. for a simi-private hospital room or a conference room
for a dozen people). And it is a hassle to access such
information and include it in new models so the data gets
regenerated (costing time and introducing potential errors)....
So, I am testing code that looks in a standard folder for
operation files which hold useful/trusted patterns and
allows you to check if they are relevant and then import
air flows and/or casual gains into you model.
The initial version will have a few place holder operations
files. Users can then populate the 'pattern' folder with
new files of their choice.
And, IMAGINE, if people in the ESP-r community contributed
high quality, trusted, well documented files HOW the standard
distribution would come with a substantial resource! Send
your files (with some notes) to jon at esru.strath.ac.uk
