Notification of planned Turnitin and Myplace downtime for essential maintenance


Dear Colleague,



Please note that Myplace will be unavailable on the morning of Tuesday 21 January 2014 to allow essential maintenance and release of new features.  Please avoid scheduling critical activity such as online assignment submission deadlines on this day.  Myplace will be unavailable from 7.30am until approximately 11.30am.



In addition to this, Turnitin have informed us that their service may be intermittently unavailable during a scheduled maintenance period on Saturday 21 December 2013 from 3pm - 7pm. It is inadvisable to mark Turnitin assignments during this time and Turnitin have advised that lecturers/tutors modify assignment due dates either before or at least several hours after the scheduled maintenance window.  Note that only Turnitin activities within Myplace will be affected - Myplace itself and all non-Turnitin activities and resources will remain available.



We will continue to announce downtime in advance via staff and student mailing lists, however we also now maintain details of all planned downtime on our support site.  This page is linked from the top Myplace menu under About->Planned Downtime:
