Dear Colleagues,

Myplace will be unavailable during the following maintenance slots

Maintenance Slot 1: Tuesday 18th June 0600 - 0800, Unavailable for 2 hours
Required in preparation of the introduction of the 2013/14 version of Myplace

0600 18th June 2013

Myplace shut down

0800 18th June 2013

Myplace restarted and available for continued general use.
Myplace will continue to reflect 2012/13 as the current academic session.

1700 19TH June 2013

The 2013/14 instance of Myplace available for staff use in preparation of 2013/14 classes. Accessible via yhe new 2013/14 tab added to the Myplace home page class list.


The 2013/14 instance of Myplace will feature a number of upgrades and improvements. A finalised list of these enhancements will be circulated in due course.

Maintenance Slot 2: Wednesday 21st August 0800 -1600, unavailable for 8 hours.
Academic year roll over: Myplace to reflect the 2013/14 as the "current" academic year.

Myplace shut down

1700 21st August 2013

Myplace restarted.


Upon Myplace being restarted at 1600 21 August 2013, the 2012/13 instance of Myplace will be available as an archive, in the same manner as the previous academic sessions, and the 2013/14 instance will reflect 2013/14 as the current academic session.

This schedule has been produced with a view to minimise the interruption of Myplace service, provide early availability of 2013/14 version of Myplace and to minimise confusion caused when Myplace changes its current academic session from 2012/13 to 2013/14. These maintenance slots been identified after taking into account the exam resit diet and the early start of term in the School of Education.
