[myplace-announce] Myplace 2012 Training in the new session

Hi all
The Learning Technology Enhancement team are running workshops over the next two weeks giving an opportunity for teaching and administrative staff to prepare, develop or fine tune their Myplace classes.
These workshops will comprise a very short introductory presentation giving a general update on Myplace and of the features, resources and activities available in Myplace classes. This will be followed by an informal period where you will be able to ask specific questions about the development of your own classes.

Workshops will run on Wednesdays 19th and 26th September and on Thursdays 20th and 27th September lasting for up to 2 hours, as required. Details of times are given at http://bookings.strath.ac.uk/courseDetails.asp?course=M12S and bookings should be made via this link.

The Myplace session start workshops assume a working knowledge of Myplace and we suggest that you attend the Getting Started with Myplace course on Tuesday 25th September if you have little or no experience of the system. Our next cohorts of Teaching and Learning Online (TALON) begin on Monday 22nd October. This course runs for 6 weeks and requires a commitment of a minimum of 4 hours spread over each week. The aim of this course is to allow teaching staff to experience being an online student while at the same time exploring the implications and opportunities of teaching and learning in Myplace.
