Interestingly, last week I was also compiling ESP-r version 11.11 in Ubuntu running in VirtualBox and got exactly the same error message. I was compiling the X11 version, but when I tried with the GTK version no error came up. It is just working fine.<div>

It is looking for a font to use. It does not find the main font or the 2nd choice font. Because of this<br>
it does not have sufficient resources to work.<br>

The lucidia fonts tend to be standard on most Linux/Unix/OSX machines. This machine does not<br>
seem to have them. Using the package manager for the operating system check if there are<br>
additional font sets that can be installed for the X11 environent - one of them might have lucida.<br>
<br>
Perhaps someone else might have further details about which font set to look for?<br>

It is not possible to start by displaying the error when starting. Please teach the coping process.<br>

2nd choice font 6x12ucida-medium-r-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*-* has not been found so quitting.<br>

It is my first experience though have compiled many times by me up to now.<br>
