Hi Per

the message in regard to materials / constructions is not important, if you are not using the corresponding construction. Otherwise it is probably easiest to edit the construction in the database editor.

In regard to obstructions:
The .obs file is not used when using the new .geo format. Obstructions are part of the new .geo files.

You must convert your .geo files to the new format. Then I would suggest defining one or two simple obstructions and converting only one to polygons.

Something like this should end up in the .geo file:

#
# block entities:
# *obs = obstructions
*block_start,20 20 # geometric blocks
*obs,-4.900,-7.000,0.000,5.800,1.000,2.950,0.000,blk_1,extern_wall # block 1
*obs,1.200,-7.000,0.000,3.600,1.000,2.950,0.000,blk_2,extern_wall # block 2
*obsp,8,6,blk_3,extern_wall # block 3 coords follow:
5.200,-7.000,0.000,8.800,-7.000,0.000,8.300,-6.000,0.000,5.200,-6.000,0.000 # 1-4
5.200,-7.000,2.950,8.800,-7.000,2.950,8.300,-6.000,2.950,5.200,-6.000,2.950 # 5-8

You then need to calculate shading via the menu options. See the tester model "sloped_obstr".

Best
Achim

--------- Original-Nachricht --------
Von: perhaugaard@yahoo.dk
An: "ESP-r_ny" <esp-r@lists.strath.ac.uk>, "Achim.geissler" <achim.geissler@intergga.ch>
Betreff: [esp-r] Re: Non-rectangular obstruction block
Datum: 10/12/10 11:06

Dear Achim and list,

I updated ESP-r to version 11.9 to include non-rectangular polygon obstruction blocks.

The first thin I noticed loading the model after the update was the following error mesasge:

"Using inst!
