I'm modelling an electrochromic window. My doubt is: in TMC can i have more than 2 positions? The normal and the "dark/clear" position? What about the middle ones? Could i have, for example 3 replacement positions corresponding to intermediate positions of the transition glass (of course with different set-points)?

I found an article presented at "Building Simulation 2009" - "Implementation and application of a new bi-directional solar modelling method for complex facades within the ESP-r building simulation program" that refers to "Advanced optics" and "Optics control". In this module we can define 6 (max) different datasets and we can switch among them. This module is better (i think) than the TMC control, because is more flexible. My doubt is how i link the control definitions with the input datasets? Where i define these datasets?

Can anyone explain me a little bit more about this "bi-directional solar modelling method"?
