How large this is depends on the air tightness of your building envelope, the distribution of leakages and the stack and wind pressure differences (these will change all the time).</div><div><br></div><div>If you have a balanced ventilation system, you will also typically have a pressure differential across the building envelope due to this system. If your leakages are large, your ventilation system may even not work as expected. The same is true for when your ventilation system ducts are not airtight enough.</div><div><br></div><div>There are no general rules on how such leakages are distributed and how large they are. As a guideline, you can incorporate leakages such that the desired air tightness class according to standards is achieved. Distribute these leakages according to construction probabilities (e.g. windows, joints etc.)</div><div><br></div><div>Best regards</div><div>Achim</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><div><div>On Sep 14, 2009, at 1:35 PM, 김민환 wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><blockquote type="cite">Hello everyone!<div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; white-space: pre; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Is there certain ratio of infiltration & ventilation rate when we have ventailation rate?</span></div> <div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; white-space: pre; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px;"><br></span></div><div>When we model a building with mechanical ventilation, usually we got ventilation rate data only</div> <div>but we are not provided infiltration rate.</div><div><br></div><div>In this case is it OK for us to assume that there is no infiltration?</div><div>Is it enough to set ventilation rate from other zone?</div><div><br> </div><div>Your advice will be appreciated.</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you in advance.</div><div><br></div><div>Regards</div><div><br></div><div>Mark</div><div><br></div><div><br>-- <br>Researcher,<br>Integrated Simulation Team, DASS consultants Ltd.<br> <br>632-9 Guui 1(il)-dong Gwangjin-gu Seoul (143-834 Korea)        <br>T. 82.2.913.2585/ F. 82.2.949.2585/ H. <a href="http://www.dasskorea.com">www.dasskorea.com</a><br> </div> _______________________________________________<br>esp-r mailing list<br><a href="mailto:esp-r@lists.strath.ac.uk">esp-r@lists.strath.ac.uk</a><br><a href="http://lists.strath.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/esp-r">http://lists.strath.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/esp-r</a></blockquote></div><br><div apple-content-edited="true"> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0; "><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div><a href="mailto:achim.geissler@intergga.ch">achim.geissler@intergga.ch</a></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></span><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"> </div><br></div></body></html>
