<P><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Arial">The functionality of the lead acid battery model in ESP-r (source code in CETC_BATTERY.F) has been expanded with battery life calculation and an optional active battery life controller. Consequently, the number of inputs (POWCDAT items) has increased from 47 to 57. Please update you simulations models in which you use the battery model to ensure proper functioning of your models. The new code has been submitted to the development_branch and will be included in the next ESP-r release.</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT FACE="Arial">The battery model can now also be used to represent (Vanadium) Redox Flow Batteries by selecting power-only component 21 (26 inputs).</FONT></SPAN></P>
