In the zone 'construction materials' sub-menu, select transparent layer properties: ESP-r will ask you which TMC requires optical control. After that, it's pretty straightfoward - and yes, you can control optical sets based on zone temperature or incident radiation. ESP-r already has very decent optical sets you can test with.<BR>

I am new to esp-r and my question may be simple: how do I define an automated external shading device (blinds or screen) which is controlled by the indoor zone temperature? Is it possible to include incident solar radiation on the window (alternatively glare risk) in the control algorithm?<BR>
