<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">Version 11.2 of the ESP-r system is now available. A summary of the changes and new features included in this release is given at the bottom of this e-mail.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">The source code may be accessed via the ESP-r Central Subversion repository. To do this, you must first install a Subversion client on your system. <BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">- ESP-r can now be compiled using the gcc4/gfortran compiler set that</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New"> is shipped with many current Linux distributions. However, non-trivial</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New"> numerical differences have been found between ESP-r compiled with</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New"> gcc4/gfortran and ESP-r compiled with gcc3/g77. Consequently gcc4/gfortran</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New"> builds should be considered beta for the time being.</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New">- The 'Install' script has been redesigned to streamline the installation</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New"> process. A number of redundant user prompts have been removed and support</FONT></SPAN>
<BR><SPAN LANG="en-ca"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Courier New"> for compilations 'out of the box' has been improved for Sun cc/f90 and MINGW.</FONT></SPAN>
