[esp-r] Re: Error when executing esp-r in text mode

Hi Clodoaldo,

I can confirm that I can reproduce this issue on my machine.  This does appear to be a bug, something about text mode specifically.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention; I will endeavor to get a fix into the next version of ESP-r.  If the issue is urgent I can email you instructions for a fix sooner; please let me know if you’d like me to do this.

In the meantime, as a workaround, it seems to work if you navigate to the cfg directory and invoke prj directly from there:

cd model_dir/cfg
prj -mode text -file your_cfg_file.cfg

1. What command are you using to initiate ESP-r?

I ran the following:

/home/Clodoaldo/esp-r -mode text

2. Does the error occur after a specific combination of commands? Is it reproducible?

When I execute prj in text mode, It runs ok until the configuration file is specified. Then prj is restarted automaticaly and the problem happens.

If I start esp-r directely the problem happens immediately.

3. Have you tried running the same commands in graphic mode?

Yes, but the Program runs ok.

Are you executing ESP-r in a terminal or by a script?

This error is most often thrown when executing ESP-r by a script, when the input stream stops before the program closes.

Hi everyonel,

I get the following message:

Model management:?>  EMENU: EOF detected, error in input commands.

when executing the most recent version (V13.3.8 of 10 january 2020) of esp-r in text mode. It also says "In /home/clodoaldo/.esprc error reading (notes) EOF sensed." but I use the original .esprc file that comes with the DEB package. Any help will be appreciated.
