Hi Arianna,

If your goal is merely to characterize energy loss from infiltration in a single house, you may find the AIM2 model is easier-to-use and more accurate than a flow network.

Subject: [esp-r] air flow network

Dear ESP-r community,

I am trying to set up an air flow network using the measured air flow rate from pressure tests. To do that I am substituting power law flow components to cracks. I have calculated the coefficient a in the equation : Q = a dP ^b using the measured ACH and I am using b=0.66 but when simulating I get a too high heating load (over 30000 kWh/year for a single storey house) . Does anybody know why this happens and if there is another way to use the measured ACH from the pressure tests to set up the infiltration rate using an air flow network? Thank you

Regards,

Arianna
