HI Jon,
yes please let me know if you can find the exemplar and inform me of the steps needed. The reason for doing that is to simulate an intelligent heating control system that is installed in some houses. The temperature recorded by the heating control varies throughout the day, for simplicity I can use daily averages for the month of January. So I will only have 31 temperature set points. Thank you,
Arianna

It is possible to do this. It uses a so-called temporal file which holds column temperature data (one per timestep) and this is associated with an ideal control law which then gets its setpoint from that source. The specifics needed would need more verbose than would be appropriate for an email. It should be possible to write down the specific steps needed. There might be an exemplar model that demonstrates this - I would need to check this.

Hi All,
my previous email may not be that clear so I will try to be more specific. I would like to use a set point temperature that varies throughout the day. Can I do that in ESP-r? Please let me know,
thank you,
Arianna

Subject: [esp-r] temperature set point
Dear All,
I would like to use some monitored internal temperature as a temperature set point to calculate the heating load. I have daily averages for the month of January at the moment, do you know if there is a way in ESP-r to do that? I may be able to find some hourly data . Please let me know,
Thank you
Arianna
