In response to numerous requests, we are pleased to extend the abstract submission deadline of the CISBAT 2013 International Conference to 10 February 2013.

Sustainability in the built environment is one of key issues for research and political action today. The biannual CISBAT Conference offers a platform for the presentation of the latest scientific research in the field, across a wide range of disciplines.

We are delighted to announce the 12th CISBAT Conference to take place at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland from 4th to 6th September 2013 and to issue a call for scientific papers in the following domains:

1.    Nanostructured materials for renewable energies (solar nanotechnologies)

2.    Sustainable building envelopes (ecobuildings)

3.    Solar active and passive cooling (natural ventilation)

4.    Daylighting and electric lighting (green lighting)

5.     Indoor environment quality (occupants comfort, health and behaviour)

6.    Advanced building control systems (biomimetic strategies)

7.    Urban ecology and metabolism (material and energy flows)

8.    Integration of renewable energy in the built environment (electricity, heating and cooling)

9.    Building and urban simulation (smart cities and buildings) - IBPSA CH Session

10. Information technologies and software (computer simulation)
The Conference will feature high-level keynotes as well as technical oral and poster sessions and opportunities to show software developments.

Extended abstracts should be submitted by 10 February 2013 through the online submission form<http://cisbat.epfl.ch/callfp_submissionform.php>.
Format: one page A4, minimum 320 words (plus optionally one page with figures and/or references), with title, full details of corresponding author + relevant domain among those above.
