You can find out more about the options available in the Install script if
you give the command:
./Install --help
In particular there is a --compiler_version flag that can be used.
Sorry about your frustrations. This forum is often able to respond quickly
to install questions. The document you refer to says that the g++ compiler
is one of the necessary tools. Perhaps you missed this section of the
document. Page 6 give the commands needed to determine compiler
versions.
Regards, Jon Hand

Subject: [esp-r] installation problems
Dear All,
I am completely new in ESP-r and from 2 weeks I try to install it... I am relay frustrated.
Last time I have install Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (with polish language version) and I am trying install ESP-r using this document:
Installing Ubuntu 10.04 & 11.04 for use with ESP-r: http://www.esru.strath.ac.uk/Downloads/ESP-r_linux_binaries/Ubuntu_for_esp-r.rtf
But I get some error (below in green, bold text is translation of polish words).
Could you help me or advise (write) me the easiest way to install this program?
