Dear Georgios,

The answer to your question is no. Currently, the special materials file holds the information for all of the special materials in a model - hence the need for the positional data for each separate material to specify its location in terms of zone/surface/node.

I don't really understand what benefit a materials file for each zone would give you. Perhaps if you explained why you want to use multiple files I may be able to help you.

Regards,

Nick Kelly

Subject: [esp-r] Multiple special materials files

Dear Esp-r users,

I would like to know if it is possible to have more than one special material files.

I want to have one file for each zone of an esp-r model, instead for one file for the whole model.

Thank you,
Georgios Sigalas
