Hi Per,

maybe there are too much commas in you file.
Here is an example with less commas.

2000,47.54,7.58,123 # year, latitude, long diff, global horiz rad flag
 1,365 # period (julian days)
* day  1 month  1
 0,51,0,66,262,69
 0,66,0,70,260,64
...

Regards
Monika

Hi Per

a) is the resulting file (if one results) not O.K.? There are situations where warnings are issued but the file is O.K.

b) do you have an additional "line end", i.e. is there an empty line at the end of the file (I think this is necessary).

c) if you are on a Unix-like system: are the line ends unix-conform?

Dear list,

ESP-r reports the following error "Warning: In 0,33,0,22,178,83," referring to the last line in the climatefile when converting from ascii to binary format.

Below is a summary of the climatefile:

*CLIMATE
# ascii climate file from NS3031,

# col 1: Diffuse solar on the horizontal (W/m**2)
# col 2: External dry bulb temperature (Tenths DEG.C)

# col 4: Prevailing wind speed (Tenths m/s)
# col 5: Wind direction (clockwise deg from north)
# col 6: Relative humidity (Percent)

 0,87,0,26,173,66,
 ....
  0,49,0,48,174,64,
 0,45,0,42,114,61,
 0,41,0,26,165,67,
 0,35,0,19,118,76,
 0,33,0,22,178,83,

I have not included the optional day separator.

Does anyone have an idea of what can be wrong?

Best regards

Per
