The 'can't create new surface from vertices issue....
The ESRU ESP-r download site has BETA versions for Cygwin, Linux, OSX and Windows
which corrects this issue for the GTK version of ESP-r. The X11 version does not seem
to be affected. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM with the 'trunk' i.e. standard release
version of ESP-r.
The BETA windows version will show up new zones if you quit the project manager
and load the model again. The current development_branch has fixed several
interface issues which were noticed when users were dealing with complex models.

Subject: [esp-r] Problem with ESP-r
Dear Dr. Sir,
Whenever I try to make a new wall on an existing zone through “surface list & edges”, for the add attribute and I choose from a new surface option “a - made from existing vertices” the program always breaks down ending up the ESP-r Project Manager. There is always a note indicating a problem with the file “prj.exe”. This has occurred with “ESP-r_setup_native_windows_gtk_txt_v11_9_trunk_GCC4” and “ESP-r_setup_native_windows_gtk_v11_9_gcc3” programs. I even tried the beta released “ESP-r_setup_native_windows_gtk_txt_v11_9_5672” for windows. On this case, the wired figure of the inputted zone didn’t show on the screen. In spite of this, just following the same steps the break down problem didn’t occurred. What am I doing wrong?
By searching the ESP-r FAQ, didn’t help.
Thank you for your attention.
Yours sincerely,
Jorge S. Carlos
