[esp-r] ubuntu installation

Hi,
I'm having some trouble with the .run file in Linux. I'm following the
installation notes.
First, with the esp-r_v11.9_linux_precomp.run in the tmp folder, and after
changing the permissions with chmod a+x ./esp-r_v11.9_linux_precomp.run in
the terminal the installation starts without problems. But after accepting
the licence terms and starting either the GTK or the X11 installation it
says "cannot access /opt/esru/esp-r/bin: No such file or directory" that the
PATH in the .batch_profile files should include
:/opt/esru/esp-r/bin:/opt/esru/esp-r/bin

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks
