The primary reference to the optical database is found in the model configuration file.

The line written into the construction database is a comment added when that file was written out.

If you generate a model QA report and have the databases toggle turned to verbose it will
tell you the full set of thermophysical and optical properties used for each construction.

There are a number of ways of checking for problems and differences in addition to
generating the model QA report. If you attempt to run a simulation there are checks
made before the simulation is started and as the simulation runs. For example if
you have a 4 layer construction that makes reference to an optical set that has
three layers then you should get a warning.

Usually if you alter a construction the project manager will ask if you want to re=build
your zone construction files. As these are created all of the current databases will be
scanned and the current information incorporated into the model files.

Subject: [esp-r] how to check link btw construction db and optical db

Hi all

At the second line of construction database file such as multicon.db1, there is a note

'# based on materials db ..\dbs\constr.db1' which shows the link btw construction db and material db.

Is there any way to check link btw construction db and optical db after both files are replaced in ESP-r database management menu ?

Your advice will be appreciated.

Regards

Mark Kim
