Hi Marta,

I believe what you are looking for is the "inward flowing fraction" of absorbed solar radiation. The inward flowing portion of absorbed energy in a glass pane 'i' is the ratio of the inward resistance (from glass pane 'i' to the interior) over the total window resistance. This is not available in ESP-r results output, however, there are a few outputs in res that may be useful to you:

surface fluxes -> SW radiation (inside): this is the absorbed solar radiation on the inside surface node of the window accounting for external solar flux plus reflected solar from the interior.

surface fluxes -> SW rad abs(other fc): this is the absorbed solar radiation on the external surface node, again accounting for both external flux and escaping interior solar flux (for windows)

surface fluxes -> LW radiation (inside) & convection (inside): for windows, these represent the radiant and convective solar gain fluxes on the interior glass surface

Currently, there is no output for absorbed solar radiation in intermediate, non-surface nodes as far as I know. I usually manually output the QTMCA array via the XML reporting facility. This array holds the nodal absorption values for transparent multilayer constructions (tmc) or complex fenestration constructions (cfc). The nodal absorption values are calculated in Solar.F There was recently a wiki article floating around on the use of the XML reporting facility. Does anyone know where this document resides?

Hello,

My question is related with the parcel that correspond to ?solar entering
from outside? which if I understood correctly is the solar heat that is
transmitted through tmc elements. But, from the ESP-r results, is it
possible to access how much heat is absorbed by glazing panes and
subsequently released inward?

Thanks in advance,
